Fresh Start Fund — NeXt Chapter Recovery

1. About This Campaign

The Fresh Start Fund is a community fundraising campaign organized by NeXt Chapter Recovery ("NCR", "we", "us") based in Duncan, British Columbia, Canada. The campaign aims to raise $2,500 to assist a local Cowichan Valley resident with safe shelter, food and essential supplies, and a reliable vehicle.

By donating to this campaign, you agree to these terms and conditions in full.

2. Donations

  • All donations are voluntary and non-refundable once processed.
  • Donations may be made via Interac e-Transfer to donate@ncrecovery.ca or through GoFundMe.
  • This campaign is not operated by a registered charity. Tax receipts are not available.
  • NCR takes zero administrative fees from this campaign. 100% of funds go to the beneficiary.
  • If the campaign goal is exceeded, surplus funds will be used for additional needs of the beneficiary or held for follow-up support.
  • If the campaign goal is not reached, all funds raised will still be disbursed to the beneficiary.

3. Transparency & Accountability

  • NCR commits to publishing a full public transparency report showing all donations received and all disbursements made.
  • The transparency report is available at ncrecovery.ca/transparency.html and is updated in real time.
  • All disbursements are documented with receipts, available upon request.
  • Donor names and amounts are published on the public donor wall unless the donor requests anonymity.

4. Privacy & Anonymity

  • Donor information is collected solely for the purpose of campaign administration and acknowledgement.
  • Donor information is never sold, shared, or used for marketing purposes.
  • Donors who request anonymity will have their name withheld from all public communications.
  • Email addresses are used only for donation confirmation and campaign updates.

5. Limitation of Liability

NeXt Chapter Recovery makes every effort to ensure that campaign funds are used as described. However, NCR cannot guarantee specific outcomes for the beneficiary. By donating, you acknowledge that you are making a voluntary contribution to a community support initiative.

NCR is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in this campaign.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
